Accessibility
Access, readability and practical usability.
The Republic site should be usable on mobile and desktop, readable in dark or light mode, navigable by keyboard where practical, and structured for assistive technologies.
Testing checklist
Accessibility controls to maintain
Keyboard navigation checked for menu, buttons and links.
Heading order kept logical on each page.
Images use useful alternative text where content-bearing.
Dark/light mode contrast reviewed after major design changes.
Mobile navigation contained within the viewport.
Forms and contact routes labelled clearly.
No essential information conveyed by colour alone.
Animations kept subtle and non-essential.
Known limitations
Some symbolic images, crests or visual diagrams may be decorative or complex. Where they are not essential to understanding the site, the surrounding text should provide the practical meaning.
Feedback route
If a visitor cannot access information or use a page properly, they should contact admin@republicofdkey.org with the page address, device/browser and issue encountered.
